Diabetes the “Silent Killer”

Diabetes mellitus is a condition that is fast growing, possibly due to chronic stress, environmental toxins and internal toxicity. Official statistics in the U.S. state that at least 18.2 million people have it and even more people have it and don’t know that they have it.
Causes Of Diabetes
• Genetic predisposition. Improvement of digestion and reduction of heavy food intake would be one of the best ways to reduce the risk of the development of diabetes.
• Lack of physical activity. This is a common lifestyle pattern in modern times – long hours at work and after work in the car. At home, watching TV or socializing on electronic devices should be interrupted by breaks for activity and exercise.
• Irregular meals. The digestive system works according to cycles of nature as well as the whole body. Regular meal intake allows the digestive system to work efficiently without overworking. Snacking too often between meals causes increased burden on the pancreas and other digestive organs.
• Kapha aggravating diet: too sweet, too sour, and too salty. Snack foods like cola, chocolate, cookies and other foods high in sugar and fructose have become everyday foods.
• Eosinophils and advanced glycation end-products (AGEs). These are subtle elements causing significant changes in physiology that may increase the chances of the development of diabetes and many other health problems.

• Stress and toxins of all kinds. Biological and emotional stress and toxins have their effects on the entire body. Eating organic and grass fed food as much as it possible is could be helpful as well as avoiding genetically modified organisms (GMO) foods. Other types of toxins include those coming from chronic infections and the most common is Candida or yeast infections. In Ayurveda it is considered a problem of poor digestion and immunity.
Mental stress and tension is the number one killer not only because of heart problems but diabetes too. One of the best ways to reduce stress is transcendental meditation, which is recommended by the American Heart Association.
Stress management is crucial for everybody now and especially for people with chronic conditions like diabetics. All lifestyles and food choices should be adjusted and some supplements can be taken in addition to medical treatment with approval of your doctor.
